Best Uses for 24” Cane Webbing
This 24” cane webbing works well for wide pressed-cane repairs and decorative woven panels. Use it for projects where a wider sheet is needed, such as cabinet doors, chair backs, baskets, screens, and furniture accents.
If you need a similar material sold by the foot, 24″ open cane webbing may also be useful for comparison. For larger projects, a 24″ cane webbing roll may be easier than ordering by the linear foot.
Measuring Before You Order
Measure the full width and length of the area you want to cover. Add extra material around the edges so the cane can be trimmed, tucked, or secured during installation.
If you order more than one linear foot, confirm whether the material will ship as one continuous piece. A continuous length is usually preferred for larger panels and cabinet work.
Installation Notes
This cane webbing is best used for groove-style pressed cane projects or framed panels. If your chair has holes drilled around the seat frame, loose strand cane is usually the better choice.
Before installation, soak the cane webbing briefly in warm water until it becomes flexible. Fit it into the groove or frame while pliable, then allow it to dry fully so the woven material tightens naturally.
For complete repair projects, a pressed cane webbing kit may be helpful if you also need spline, wedges, and instructions.
Care and Storage
Store unused cane webbing flat or loosely rolled in a dry indoor area. Keep it away from heavy moisture, direct heat, and long sun exposure before installation.
After installation, clean the woven surface gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking, harsh cleaners, and heavy pressure on the cane pattern.
